Announcing Tracker 1.9.2, Tracker+ 1.2.0, Tracker Mini 2.2.0

The latest firmware update for all three Trackers is officially out of beta.

This update contains the Focus Loop feature, “looping on parts of a pattern”, and the new anniversary display theme that adds subtle improvements and contrast to align with the 10th anniversary edition design and provide a better viewing experience in certain situations.

If you were using the beta version of this firmware, this final release rolled back the LFO changes made during the beta.

New Features

  • Focus Loop: Loop a selection until stopped
    • Shift + Play now loops the selected section of a pattern until playback is stopped
    • If 1 bar is selected, playback now starts at the selected bar
  • New 10th Anniversary UI theme
    • Subtle changes to the original theme to align with the 10th anniversary Mini aesthetic and increase contrast
    • Change themes in Config → Display

I just wanted to say thank you for releasing updates for the original Tracker. Very much appreciated and unfortunately no longer the industry norm.

hey all,

Thanks so much for this update. There’s some bug fixes here that are dear to my heart.

One thing though - In the original post for the Focus Loop feature request - https://backstage.polyend.com/t/looping-on-parts-of-a-pattern/ the OP writes the original issue as “The preview of selected steps only plays once while you sometimes might want to loop a section when you micro edit a pattern”

Shift+Play is working great for me so far in 1.9.2. This is such a cool feature. However, one-shot preview has never worked for me (OG Tracker) when in play or record mode. I exclusively use the tracker synced to the external clock of my DAW. The original one-shot preview doesn’t work for me whether the clock is running or not.

I thought this bug fix: Previewing sounds not working in REC mode while clock in on USB was going to resolve that problem, but that fix is for the context of hearing the actual note when its input and not about previewing notes or chunks of pattern while the clock is running.

Am I doing something goofy?

Thanks Polyend team
