I only got the Tracker +, so I have submitted for the Tracker only.
Im sure they can help you in the global chat, if you have problems with the beta tester form.

I’m sorry, but multiple people have submitted multiple times for participating Play / Play+ Beta testing, and as far as I know non of them has received any notification or invitation (yet). So I guess the team isn’t preparing for Beta testing (yet).
To those of you that participate in any of the Beta programs, you know that what happens in Beta stays in Beta
With that said, just to make it clear, there is indeed a Beta program for the Play/Play+
Without exposing what’s in and what isn’t currently in Beta or that even a Beta Test is running right now could you confirm when the last Beta Tester was added to the group…?
As Polyend doesn’t seem to send out confirmations or notifications, people did fill-out and submit those detailled forms (once or even multiple times), but don’t know if their application form was received at all.
I wouldn’t be comfortable to disclose that information. With that said, when a member is added to the backstage program, they will get a personal message for it. You can view these by clicking on your user icon in the top-right, and selecting the envelope icon.
Hope that helps
In that case I assume my application form is received, and I will wait for an invitation to a Beta program… or a Final release by surprise.
Some “influencers” got beta (as they usually do…) I’ve seen a video of some guy restarting his tracker saying: V1.0.2. a week or two before official release. I guess he just didn’t notice.
Can’t really fault Polyend for that. If you release a new killer feature, influencers need to be “ahead of the curve”. Preferential treatment still leaves me with an icky feeling. But it’s industry standard.
(And yes…Play thread, I was just speaking to betas in general)
I applied for the beta program a few years back and did not get in. The notification was there was none. I was ok with that as it’s their rules. I applied later and got in. I went on about playing when I did not get in and the same when I did. Reminds me when I was a kid and dad said, my roof, my rules. I might have not liked it but I went on and played.
I think Polyend or someone should close this thread. It’s been said by a rep from Polyend that an update will come. Having conversation here does nothing to make it happen any faster. Our time is better served by letting them do their thing and we do ours. I find that makes for a better experience for all. I find it hard to believe that anyone is currently unable to make music because this update has not come out.
I totally get the sentiment you have here. But the reality is that some Influencers also happen to be power users, and getting Betas into their hands are knowing they are using it everyday and will be the most likely to catch bugs.
Just speculating because I have no idea why people do or do not get into the Beta Program, but the Play is quite a popular and loved instrument and it’s possible they have a cap of x amount of people in the Beta.
To be clear, I’m not commenting on any current beta firmware, but more how the Beta program works. Anyone can apply, and there is an application process. Polyend approves as they see fit.
As I mentioned above, it’s quite possible that the Beta group is full at the moment. Just speculating, but there could be a whole bunch of reasons.
I ain’t pointing fingers here, just an observation, but I can guess folk complaining or moaning ain’t getting near the Beta program
It’s a privilege not a right to be asked onto the Beta, you’re being welcomed onto the team with access to the latest features to help make the firmware the best it can be well before being released to the public. I can’t see Polyend wanting to welcome folk posting negative comments onto the Beta if i’m honest.
Don’t worry the update will come soon enough when it’s ready and we can all play happy families again
agreed
Yeah, I never got the invitation neither. I gave up at this point.
I think it’s great there was another bug fix firmware released for Play and I am appreciative but I think many users were anxiously awaiting seeing a firmware with some of the wishlist ideas implemented. There was also some mention from Polyend in a 2023 post that midi performance was coming in spring 2024. Are these features still likely and if so is it possible we will see them released this year. I am not complaining I am simply an excited user and I do feel it would be helpful to know what’s in store. Thanks
Good news! The MIDI performance Beta was released last Friday
That’s incredible and great to hear. Also an interesting strategy to release the new features as a series of incremental releases. Good luck with the development process.I am sorry I didn’t see the announcement on the new open beta. That is fantastic news. Also congrats on synth release. Can’t wait to try one.
I’ve an account, I’ve registered the PLAY, but it won’t allow me to download 1.5. Any ideas as to why? Cheers.
You’ve tried to download it from here?
Wow, that worked straight away and it was the same flipping page!! Thank You very much x
