Thanks alot for the feedback on the last post. Great to see how passionate everyone was.

So here is what we want to do, over the next week we will roll out the following updates and open beta features. Note: Delays may happen, but I’ll update you in this thread if anything doesn’t meet the schedule:

Nov 6: Tracker Hotfixes (Official Release)
Nov 7: Tracker Mini Note Input Mode (Open Beta)
Nov 8: Play/Play+ MIDI Perform Mode (Open Beta)
Nov 9: Play/Play+ Finger Drumming Mode (Open Beta)
Nov 10: Tracker+/Mini USB Audio Recording (Open Beta)
Nov 11: Play+ 1.1 & Play+ 1.5 (Official Releases) contains important fixes and the Perc drum machine for Plus units.

None of these updates are a send off for the device, and we have update plans for all of them in the future.

If a major issue stops one of these from proceeding I’ll let you know.

Terrific!
Are there some elements of a more general roadmap that could be shared as well? I know it can be tricky, but it would be really nice to have a peak on, for example, the wishes that have a good chance to be implemented and their priority?

Typo on Tracker Mini - although it could be a “finger drumming mode” it uses the screen to input 8 notes.

This is not a promise but I would say looping parts of a pattern has a good chance of being added to Tracker.

This is amazing, can’t wait to try these out.

Since they’re being released separately, will these be separate firmware files?

i.e.–if you have a Play+ you can load either the Finger Drumming beta firmware or the MIDI Perform Mode beta firmware?

Just to clarify - Play’s 1.1, 1.5 will be bug fix and stablilty focused, MIDI perform mode will get a separate release.

And the firmware files will be separate files initially, you will get a choice of either - then we will merge them together at a later date.

I’ve been contributor for synth engines & usb recording as well as voter and big supporter of the Tracker mini’s note input mode wishes.

Seeing everything expressed as a wish considered, then actually being put into a public roadmap, with imminent betas coming, feels like the most satisfying customer experience with a product. As part of it is tailored to your exact needs with a bit of patience after the purchase.

Will the individual Play / Play+ Beta releases get the fixes from the 1.5 / 1.1 release?
Otherwise it doesn’t make sense to me releasing both separate Betas two days earlier :man_shrugging:

This is great - I’ve been hoping for the note input on the mini, I love this machine!

My SD Card just died after transferring the new Update to it. I highly recommend to everybody to backup your SD to your computer before updating !
