Mini synth patch per pattern?

Hi Folks, ive only recently discovered trackers and love my mini…its incredible…i have a busy family life so it just WORKS for me! Thanks to everyone posting videos its got me going super quick :pray:
I have one question which is only thing bugging me…i only use onboard synths realy so
Track 1: PERC
Track 2: S2
Track 3: S3

Is there any way to run different patches on synths per pattern basis.
So pattern one would have Track 2 : WTFM patch 1.
Pattern 2 would have Track 2: WTFM patch 2 ?

If not any hacks or work arounds ?
Cheers Rob

Hey @w_o_d_w_o

Sadly no. There have been wishes for this as well that sadly were declined:

Similar happened for the Play+ Synths:

As workarounds goes, the only one i’ve noticed is that if there is enough time between patches, you could change them manually in the synth preset/patch selection screen.

Another workaround is to export some of the synths you need to an audio file and use it on a regular sample track. Either a single note you can sequence or a full pattern, depending on what works best in each case.

Could you use single cycle waveforms ? Is there a loop sample option to create basically an oscillator….not explored the sample side much so will have a look!

Yes you can! :muscle:

Pretty much problem solved then :melting_face:

And definitely don’t sleep on what @3xm proposed! :muscle:
You can get pretty darn far by rendering synth to sample!

You can check out some of the project files i’ve made here.
All of them were made exclusively on the device just with the synths.

Owww, this desert echo track is sooo nice, I love it! And thank you so much for sharing the project as well!

I want also to mention that you can achieve much of sound diversity between patterns through clever use of macros. For instance, you can turn short plucky synth sound into long pads with just two macros assigned to control attack and decay/release or even with just one macro assigned to both attack and decay.
There are six macros in total, each can control up to five parameters, so it’s up to 30 controllable parametetrs in total.
