Awesome!! I appreciate the open beta!

I just received my Tracker+ today and wanted to test out this new firmware. I cannot seem to get it to flash. I’ve tried all 3 methods I’m familiar with and none seemed to work.

  1. Directly from the unit. It seems like it is working and doesn’t display any errors. When the unit resets I’m still sitting at 1.0.0.
  2. Putting only the 1.0.1 beta firmware on the SD card and pressing the reset button. Same results as #1.
  3. Using the Polyend Tool. The Tracker+ doesn’t even show up when I press the “Find Device” button. I have it plugged directly into my MacBook Pro via USB-C to USB-C cable and no luck.

Anything I might be doing wrong?

Thanks so much!

The beta actually shows up as 1.0.0 during boot. When you go to the Config and check the Firmware it will also say 1.0.0 with no build number. This will probably change as this goes on.

In the Instrument-list you will only see the 3 available synth instrument slots and whatever synth engine was assigned to it. To change that you have to go to the instruments page, there you should see all 5 available synth engines.

Hope that helps

I just received the Tracker plus, it has some issues at the moment - it freezes randomly and the audio output level has changed per single boot up - do I have to update to 1.0.1?

I would if i were you. So far the beta has been very stable for me.

You might also want to try a different power source in case this issue persists.

I’ve only encountered one freeze so far on this new device… and that was a very early beta firmware.

Ok, I’ll try it later, thanks!

Is there an (open) beta for the Mini also?
I was in the betagroip, but somehow im not anymore.

Oh yeah you posted it for sale so I removed you! No point having people in the beta that don’t have the unit. I’m guessing you kept it?

I just changed the power supply (I was using the OG one) and it works flawlessly… and I love it so far

Just curious, but is glide working on the synth engines for you guys? I’m testing it out and can’t seem to get glide, slide up, and slide down to work. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong, haha.

G / F / J command currently don’t work on the synths.
I don’t know if this is by design or not

There is a workaround though: you can use a synth macro for this, by having one that affects the glide time from within the synth engine.

Yeah, using the glide time and playing the notes while in the synth parameters page sounds different than when I place them on the grid. Not sure why that is, but I can’t seem to get it to sound the same.

Feel free to create a bug report and attach a project so others can test it as well.
I’ll gladly have a look at it then as well

Based on your description it’s kinda hard to imagine what you are hearing, so a project would definitely help to talk about this.

What are the specs for the SD card in Tracker+? Same as the OG?

Correct, still requires FAT32 formatting.
