No pb with updating, cool thank u Polyend. But…
following feature via Ch Packs are not working well, or is it stil bugged ?
I wish they had this feature that you can save the hold pads in the saved data of the scene… !!! is it possible ?
Other feature would be having a favorite preset folder easily accessible..
Dirt is ok tho I was expecting more level of control on this engine.
Anyway I think I love this machine and my set is dedicated to it… so now my main focus is to find the best way to sequence, write song and use the aftertouch at the same time recorded in an external sequencer… I have tried ableton Live but It wasn’t really handy, with my tracker mini it isn’t really easy even basic sequence is working well… I will try with digitakt II, last hope.
Scroll up in that list (and this forum post). It’s part of the update that allows you to switch Scene using the pads. You’ll notice that the first 60 have a “P” prefix (as in “Pad”).
Update was smooth but I have a (maybe dumb) question. How do you get to the “shaper” page on the dirt synth? I see it in the YouTube demo for the Play + but can’t figure out how to find it in the Polyend synth. Am I missing something obvious?
Edit: it is contained within the filter page for anyone else wondering. It was obvious haha. Looking forward to playing this synth!
I would love having this feature… because external seq it (synth) is a boredom, i have passed one month about how I use it with a master like tracker mini, a daw like ableton, or just synced to differents gears… I may have found a way to use this gear at all means for the best.
Dear Polyend-Team,
thank you very much for this beta preview / update for our Polyend Synth.
After playing around with DIRT I figured that I might found a bug:
When scrolling through the Shapers in the Filter section of DIRT, the Rectifier shaper is totally out of control and extremly loud in comparism to the other shapers. Adjusting it with the Amount control does not help either.
To reproduce just hold a note, then scroll through the shapers and notice the huge difference in loudness between the Sin+ and Bitcrush shapers.
I started with an init patch and was just experimenting.
It’s a beta firmware, I know If this is “by design” it would be pretty hard to gainstage the DIRT synth.
Anyways, again thank you very much for supporting the Synth!!
This engine was designed in part because of that request. We don’t want to add any more CPU cost to old engines, so I don’t think that is likely. You can get most ACD sounds out of Dirt though.
Understandable, yet I too believe this would be an incredible addition if possible. I’m looking at what could be done with the DWA engine - all those effects applied to samples would really make the DWA an entirely new synth.
