Synth 1.1.0 Public Beta Firmware
Synth 1.1 Beta firmware includes new Arp and Seq rates for triplets and dotted time divisions, as well as chord pack editor improvements. As the name implies, this is a beta firmware, so you may run into some bugs or untested behaviours.
New Features
- Triplets and Dotted rates added to Arp and Seq.
- 12 new divisions added to the Rate selection in both Apr and Seq.
- Chord Pack Editor improvements
- Access to the Chord Pack Editor in the grid setup menu
- Go to System Settings → Grid
- Change Synth to Chord Pack and press the
Ch Edit
button.
- Renamed parameters to clarify their functionality
- Added “Init” Chord Pack
- Access to the Chord Pack Editor in the grid setup menu
Fixes
- Synced Delay caused audio glitching with an external MIDI clock.
- Seq was not playing correctly when switching back to Note from Chord Pack.
- Synth parameter bars and visualisation were altered by Macro modifications.
- The parameter bars now change to grey when modified by a macro
- Adding notes to an Arp in playback mode did not work when using multiple arpeggiators simultaneously
- Macro Control and values sometimes didn’t disappear from the screen header
- Switching from effect Presets page to Effect page sometimes changed the currently selected effect
- Root Note was not autosaving after being changed via the screen button and encoder
- Grid Mode could incorrectly display as Follower after switching Layouts
- Freeze on MIDI Program Change message when Seq / Arp was playing more then 1 synth voice
- Mixer Level faders produced audio clicks when adjusting values
- Possible data corruption after double tapping Shift to release all pads
- Seq sometimes did not play polyphonic sequences correctly when triggered by Chords with active Followers
- Crash on Save Scene dialog when Seq or Scene buttons were pressed
- Some Grid Scale names were not fully visible due to character limits, now names are abbreviated to fit
- Some Synth LFO Ratio and Delay effect Time values had incorrect names
- Macro Control and Master Volume/Tempo/Pitchbend values sometimes didn’t disappear from the screen header
Known Issues:
- Turning the Chord Root in the Chord Editor to its minimum or maximum value could sometimes freeze the UI, requiring a restart
- Flw Scale Size always displayed a value of 4 upon entering the Chord Editor, regardless of the actual value
Beware that beta releases might introduce new bugs that may lead to loss of work, data corruption, performance degradation, or crashes. We recommend backing up your SD card before trying the beta.
If you run into any issues please share them with us by logging a Beta Bug in Backstage.
Thank you.
