Does anyone know if there is a possibility to assign a specific note to a Repeat Rule? As it is implemented on Play (Repeat Grid). I was surprised not to find this feature on Tracker. I desperately need this functionality. It is the simplest and most efficient way to add sounds that should play infrequently without extending the length of the pattern or creating an alternative copy. For example, when I want to add a Crash or any other effect or percussion.
Please, @Mitch can you give a feedback why is this feature missing? Are there any technical difficulties in implementing it? Or am I doing something wrong? Thank you.
The way it works on the Tracker is slightly different though from the Play.
There is a very simple chance step FX on the Tracker that you could combine it with, to get closer to it though:
But the more detailed version, like on the Play, does not exist on the Tracker yet.
The one wish you’d want is this one:
Something similar but not exactly what you are looking for is this:
Bonus info, there is repeat effect in perfomance mode (Page 308):
I can’t make promises on firmware updates, but I used my vote for it and fully agree it would be a great feature that I would use.
Also the number of votes is certainly taken into account on a feature request when considering what to do next, since resources and time, as they are with all things, are limited, this is why extra MIDI tracks were added to tracker since it was #1 wish.
