Q2 2025 - Polyend Updates

Polyend Q2 News

A few days after Q2, I know, sorry, I was waiting for more potential news but I’ll just let you know what I’ve got now!

Device Updates

Trackers
A new Tracker update is almost ready and a beta will be coming this month(estimated time, subject to change). It adds a few additional requested workflow features, more bug fixes and merges exsisting betas.

Synth
Synth 1.3.1 firmware is in open beta testing right now. Last month we launched firmware 1.3 with the DWA engine. It plays two samples back in unique and novel ways and is much more fun than I expcted to have with a sample based engine. Firmware 1.3 was a major release, rolling two or three firmware updates we had planned for Synth into one, so we’ll continue updating the device but I wouldn’t expect another major update this year.

Step
Step 1.1 is in open beta now. It changes and expands the MIDI implementation, the most frequent request.

Mess Release and Shipping
We announced Mess at Superbooth and the devices have started shipping this week. We hope to have all preorders out by the end of the month.
Speaking of Superbooth, it was a lot of fun this year! Huge thank you @Sandroid and Izzy for helping us out, and everyone that came by the booth, played the devices and hung out.

Tracker Mini 10th Anniversary Edition
10th anniversary of Polyend, not the Mini! This is the first product to introduce our new design direction, based on our old design direction(like Perc, small batch production with premium materials). We’re only making the number of units that we sell in the preorder phase, so place a preorder if you want an aluminum Tracker Mini.

Where To Find Us This Year
Guitar Summit - Mannheim, DE. September 8-10. Our first time doing a guitar-focused show. It should be fun!

I really hope some of these Tracker features include the DWA engine and the ability to Record perfect loops using external gear with fixed length recording.

Humbly asking again for a little love for us colorblind people, by bringing the same kind of changes you recently made to the Synth to the Polyend Play+ (a request created back in April of 2024, I can’t change the title anymore, the Synth didn’t exist back then).

Happy to help if you would like me to change it for you. If yes, what to?

Thanks. Maybe change “Allow colorblind people to configure the Synth pad colors” to “Allow colorblind people to configure the Play+'s synth pad colors”, so there is no confusion between the Play+ and the Synth anymore, especially since colors can now be changed on the latter.
