Synth 1.3.1 Beta #1

This Beta addresses issues with DWA patch browsing and pitch instability on long samples.

Fixes

• Improved Patch Browsing of Sample Based Synth Engines
• DWA Pitch stabilized with longer samples

Synth Firmware: Synth_v1.3.1.1907beta.psf.zip (2.0 MB)

1. Download and extract the firmware above
2. Copy the .psf firmware file to your Synth SD card → Firmware folder
3. Best Practice: save your current scene to avoid any potential data loss!
4. On the Synth menu navigate to Main Menu → System Settings → Firmware → Update Firmware → .psf file
5. Click the encoder and confirm with Yes
6. After the update create a new scene to initialize the config settings

I just tried it with 3 DWA engines a moment ago, and I haven’t found any issues so far.
I really like this beta too! ^^

Is it possible to know what the maximum sample file length the DWA engine can support is?

Thanks Martin, good question. I know it varies by sample settings but I’ll find out the length for 16bit 44.1kz samples in mono - as anything larger than that just creates a bigger file but loads 16bit 44.1 mono.

Samples over 5mb are not supported or tested, so if loaded there may be issues with playback for samples over 5mb like pitch deviation, aliasing etc.

thank you for this! It would be amazing if scene changes with program changes could be addressed in the next firmware, especially as I have a life set coming soon in which would enable me to change the key for different sections. I know others would love this feature too.

Am I correct to assume this beta addresses this bug:

Selecting DWA presets is extremely laggy

Bug Description I also noticed a massive lag that occurs when stepping through the DWA patches, it seems that samples are loaded immediately, which blocks advancing to the next preset. A slight delay when loading samples might do the trick. Mod Matrix Destinations Related to Envelopes Don’t Work

Bug Description Im trying to modulate the filter envelopes (env1) decay or sustain with a LFO and nothing is happening. I crank the modulation to the max but i cant hear the change in the sound. Yes, it does address this issue. The mod matrix will be addressed too, but not in 1.3.1.
