For now what helps is to make a new empty project before powering off the play. Doing that enables the play to restart without having to delete the workspace folder from the sdcard.
Thank you so much Mitch and all Polyend Team for your great work!
I agree, 2 sides of performance mode feels more natural. But we OG Play users donāt need the Delay and Reverb columns in MIDI Perform, as we donāt have bult-in synth engines. It would be more natural for us to let these columns behave like the Cutoff columns (send CC values from 0 to 127).
For example, you could assign the 4 knobs secondary CCs to the orange, yellow, blue and purple columns respectively, allowing us quick hands-on control for ALL the 8 CCs!
The first 4 using the knobs primary function, and the other 4 using the pads!
That would be an awesome feature for live performance, and would make the OG Play the ultimate MIDI controller! What do you think?
Thanks again!
Hi @Mimivirus. Welcome to Backstage!
If you want to propose new ideas and features, please post them in a separate topic in Draft wishes. I also suggest reading the guidelines for wishes first.
Thanks @3xm . I created a Draft Wish for this feature. If anyone is interested (especially OG Play users!) you can modify it or join the discussion here :
Found a strange bug with MIDI Fills. Am I the only one?
Iāve found out that the Bit Depth performance pad column works the opposite way in MIDI perform mode. The top pad corresponds to the maximum CC/macro value and the bottom pad corresponds to the minimum value. Iāve accustomed to how it works in the audio side where pressing bottom pads induces more distortion. The Overdrive FX works as expected.
Also, I hope the betas make their way to the stable release with some bug fixes included before the new year.
my heart skipped a beat because i thought we would be able to control the play with external midi - but its just a feature that should have shipped with the initial release
@here new beta release is out: Play 1.6.0 and Play Plus 1.2.0 Beta #2
