Some ideas in that direction :

Sample Pool instead of piano Roll

It would be awesome if the piano roll would have an option to play sample pool in a folder instead of different notes. This way the user could experiment different sound combination, a bit like using pads. It would be limited to the buttons available in that configuration. It could be enabled as a 3 stage toggle with the view button, with a different color for the sample player. There could be an option is settings to enable such a toggle.
