Pitch shift without tempo change

Not to be a Debbie Downer… but that’s how Trackers historically work

And i have my doubts that we will see that on the OG Tracker, purely based on the computational limitations.

There is one wish for something similar:

It would be nice if there was the chance to change the BPM of a loop by shift pitching it (not only with time stretching) with the PT calculating the tones and semitones to apply to the sample, in a non-destructive way, to achieve the change. What is the problem? When you sample a loop you don’t know the BPM and you want to adapt its tempo to your song by pitch-shifting it, now you can apply a time-stretch to it or you can calculate the amount of tones/semitones with external tools manually/by…

I know it’s not the same. But as i mentioned i doubt that we will see realtime tempo changes without pitch changes.

EDIT: there was a similar wish for the Play, which was declined because of technical limitations. Since the Play and Tracker are pretty similar hardware wise, i’m guessing this could apply here as well. BUT… i might be completely wrong. Let’s find out
