"Note off" events in track not copied to MIDI tracks in Tracker+

Hi all,

this evening I was moving a synth track from a normal track (2 parallel tracks actually, targetting the same poly-synth) to a MIDI track to free additional sampling track,s when I realized that the paste op into the MIDI track was not pasting the “off” note events. I tried copying smaller sections and pasting in different ways, but the results ware always the same: the off-note events are either not copied or not pasted.

I searched around in the forum and I could only find a similar bug report for the Play.

I am in firmware v1.0.1.

Can anyone confirm this is happening to you as well?

Can confirm that this also happens to me on v1.0.0.

EDIT: Interesting to note that the “note off” events are copied if you copy a MIDI segment into an existing pattern via the song editor.

This seems to still be an issue — is there a workaround? Why do the OFF messages only get sent if they are in tracks 1-8? The Midi off messages are even more important than the sample ones to be honest. This is the only issue i’ve found that really impacts my workflow on my tracker mini

This is still an issue in 1.03 - there’s another thread here OFF/FAD/CUT not pasted when copying to MIDI Tracks

Waiting a year for this kind of fundamental stuff to get fixed is really disappointing eh. Bugs were quashed pretty quickly with the OG tracker.

Not sure if Polyend has lost interest in Tracker and is just focused on new bringing out new products, but it’s such a shame when tracker is one of their core products with a big and dedicated user base.
