also been daily checking on another little device that should be getting a batch 2 soon… so much anticipation ><
This side hustle sometimes has to take a back seat to my day to day work, but Batch 2 is pretty much in final stages - hopefully ready to go in the next few weeks.
For this next batch, I will have a few more options in the storefront: standard 3d printed cases, thinner Anniversary compatible 3d printed cases, and premium Anniversary compatible aluminum cases (considering all black keys as an option too).

I see them on Reverb and Gear Exchange every other week for ~$1000-1200. I love mine. Feels great. I just wish I had a screen protector for when I pass out while jamming too late

Some of you may have noticed the pocketmidi website is in maintenance mode - working this weekend to get it updated.
There will be 4 items up for sale very soon:
- The original and the new thin (anniversary compatible) versions will be the same price as last time - $185.
- The premium aluminum versions (black & natural) will be $399 - best I can do considering all hard costs and tariffs.
I will announce here when it goes live, as well as an email blast to all registered users.

I had to iron out a PayPal compatibility issue and I may have crashed the server with some early email blasts

Batch 2 sales are off to a good start 
I thought I’d explain to y’all the current situation with the aluminum shells, since there’s been requests for more.
Basically, the current $399 pricing is a bit of a gamble on my part.
US customs assumed the parts were raw aluminum without taking into consideration that they were finished parts of a musical instrument device and so wanted to charge a super high tariff rate. I have made a formal appeal, but it will probably take months to get resolved, so in the meantime, I wanted to make sure they were ready to go with the rest of the units. The pricing was based on the assumption that the lower rate will get approved and all will be well, and If it doesn’t go my way, then with only 10 units, I can just absorb the costs - lesson learned. But that puts me in a bit of a bind because as much as I would like to make more of the aluminum versions, I’m stuck in a holding pattern until I get the tariff rates resolved, and the current political climate doesn’t help much with the rates changing week to week.
SO it’s not a definite no to more aluminum versions - worst case would just be having to raise the price. But we’ll have to wait a while to find out.

I didn‘t use the kb1 for a while. I‘m using V-browser on iPhone, but when I press the Bluetooth Button I get this Message??? The last time I used it, everything worked fine…
This is gonna sound silly.. but just to be sure.. did you make sure bluetooth is actually on?
