Now here: Finger-drumming-friendly grid for Synth
Hie,
I am very interested in this synth already having the tracker + but one thing blocks me.
Can we record a melody via patterns or is it not possible?
The sequencer has a rec/play option.
Q&A has started!
Yeah actually I said I would answer them tomorrow but I want to meet with the whole team before answering some questions to make sure it is all accurate info so I’ll answer the questions on Friday if you want to ask in this thread, thanks!
I would like to purchase this device but my concern is the lack of processing power. I think l will wait and see what action will be taken to improve this issue maybe a synth plus with a more powerful processor?
It’s already been mentioned by polyend that a synth+ is not in the works.
Fair enough looking forward to see any future developments if possible.
If it helps, as days pass by and I move from testing / learning to actually using the Synth to play around and create music, I’m getting that CPU notice less. In fact, I haven’t seen it for days.
EDIT: there is a new thread Synth CPU Usage Info (sorry, I hadn’t seen it when I posted this).
Is there a way to get quickly to a 100% “Init” state? I mean that you press pads and get a very boring saw / square / sine oscillator, no filter, no fanciness, no effects, to start building your own sounds quickly.
Each synth engine has an “Init” patch, which is good and required for a full Init state, but as far as I can see you still enable these Init patches in a preexisting scene, which comes with their own sequences and what not.
I guess what I’m looking for is an Init scene with, say, the 3x3 layout, three synth engines in Init state, and all the other values including global effects set to not affect the initial audio signal.
If this doesn’t exist, I will create a wish for it.
Is Scene → Init good enough?
Doh. I was scrolling through the list of scenes and not seeing the Init button in front of my nose, even if it’s exactly in the same place that the synths Init option (mentioned above) is located.
Ok ok, learning more.
Nice n chilled mate. Hopefully not too many CPU Warnings during your vibe out.
Thank you! I don’t recall getting any cpu warnings doing this. I don’t get the warning much to be honest :] People are too hyper focused on it and it takes away how awesome this device already is! Yes some cpu optimization and tweaks would be nice, but it doesn’t mean this machine isn’t capable already because it totally is

NEW SCENES FOR SYNTH!
It’s been quite a while since the release of the Polyend Synth, and the Delay still isn’t working properly. I’m tired of explaining to people in communities that it’s not a CPU issue and that synchronization needs to be turned off. Are there any updates on fixing this bug? People buy a new synthesizer, and the first thing they hear is crackling and noise, forcing them to seek help immediately after purchase. This is a terrible user experience. Even worse is that such a critical update is taking so long to arrive.
It’s only been out for 17 days… so I wouldn’t say quite awhile lol.
How long is it acceptable to wait, according to your logic, in this case?
