What is the problem?

Often a track will contain various instruments but currently there is no way to tweak a common parameter that all sample-based instruments share (Non Synth/MIDI instruments)

What should this feature achieve?

The ability to group instruments together, so that, (random example) tweaking the envelope volume decay would tweak that parameter for all instruments in said group.

Are there any workarounds?

Yes, you can tweak the parameter of each instrument individually.

Polyend Play is the King, Queen and Choir for selecting events and changing individual parameters.

Anything Else?

This feature could potentially remove CPU stress on the Tracker. If you group 8 tracks together, tracking all the parameters of 8 instruments that share common settings vs. having to track all the parameters of each individual track could be a nice bonus for processing power.

That would be great in combination with this wish from @Sandroid

To be honest, I doubt with my minimalistisk compositions, that a very stressed CPU will be reached, but being able to stack/group/subgroup Tracks similar to Ableton Live could be nice visually.

Also then being able to [Solo Arm] and [Mute] these groups would be a bonus

Arming Tracks is great when you want to record polyphony or chords for an instrument. This feature could be enhanced by always cycling to the next armed track until the limit is reached and then cycling back to the first, thereby giving each note as much time as possible to play out before stealing it. Solo [Arm] a track

The way ARM’ing is currently implemented leads to having to UNARM more tracks than actually ARM’ing. It would be useful if the selection behaviour would be reversed. As in: it would be easier if tracks where UNARM’ed when requesting to ARM instead of everything being ARM’ed from the get-go. What is the problem? For people who use ARM’ing to prevent notes from recording to adjacent tracks, the process of UNARM’ing is cumbersome, the way it is currently implemented. What should this feature ach…

My way of achieving this is to render&load the instruments that i’d like to treat as one, turning them into one instrument and then slice or beatslice.

Yeah this is great for when you want to commit permanently. This wish would be more like a temporary way to group Instruments together, make the tweaks you need, and then un-group them.
