Polyphony: Cycle through Armed Tracks Option

Arming Tracks is great when you want to record polyphony or chords for an instrument. This feature could be enhanced by always cycling to the next armed track until the limit is reached and then cycling back to the first, thereby giving each note as much time as possible to play out before stealing it.

What is the problem?

Currently while recording, the tracker will move notes that sit on top or close to eachother to the next armed tracks. However - when the next note does not overlap with the first note anymore, it will place it again in the first track and possibly cut it off too soon, especially if further armed tracks would be available.

What do you want to achieve?

Have an option so that each note is placed into the next armed track until the final armed track is reached and then cycle around to the first armed track.

This could be considered a QoL enhancement, as it is predominantly useful for people who live record note data via pads or midi.

Are there any workarounds?

Do it manually by entering notes step by step.

While this wish is more about pholyphony/track cycling instead of voice cycling, it is a similar concept to OSC cycling, which is pretty common place. Polyend Medusa does it with its 6 oscillators.

@here, Thanks for your wish. It’s now ready for voting
