Feature recommendation: ability to use D-pad center for real-time note recording

I think the greatest weakness of the Tracker Mini is the complete inability to do any kind of real-time note recording as is possible with the original Tracker.

At the very least, what I would like to be able to do is perform a recording for a single note pitch. I think the intuitive way to implement this would be to take advantage of the center button in the D-pad. It might go like this:

  1. Arm one or more tracks for real time recording
  2. Play-record to record in real time
  3. Tap the D-pad center button to insert the most recently used note + instrument

It would be like having a one-note MIDI keyboard. :slight_smile:
