Beat Slice mode allowing to play through to end of sample

I’m a relatively new Tracker Mini user but for me this is my main feature request. I’ve dug in a bit and there are for sure alternatives, but:

  • Using the position FX command is fine for slower tempos, shorter samples and material that isn’t groove critical, but isn’t really it for breaks or rhythmic samples. I guess you could get into the weeds in combination with micro timing, but really not great for flow
  • Prepping rotated samples and creating chains takes a lot of the chopping process into the computer, at which point why not just do it all in the computer?
  • Copying the sample/instrument and adjusting the start point right now seems to be the best way of doing this - it’s still relatively quick and focused. But gets confusing quickly once you have more than a couple of chops, and if you want to make adjustments to the sample - e.g. pitch or effects - then the options are to either resample or go in to each version individually and make the changes. Also, while I doubt this will ever become a big issue in reality, it eats up a lot of relatively limited device memory to have multiple versions of the same sample.

I think this kind of work is a place where trackers excel, so this change would be very welcome. Ideally in combination with some kind of repitch suggester as seen in Renoise, Koala Sampler and elsewhere.
