Allow predefining knob values while a empty track is selected

What is the problem?

When you have an empty track selected (via the pad select), it is currently NOT possible to change any knob parameters/value or predefine parameters/values that you may want to use once you start putting steps down.

You have to deselect the track, set your values, then reselect the track before entering steps.

This is an uneccessary step that tends to confuse/trip people, especially during a high concentration situation like a live performance.

What should this feature achieve?

Allow changing knob parameters/values even when an empty track is selected.

Are there any workarounds?

  • Deselect the track
  • Change values
  • Reselect the track

Created this feature request based on the discussion that was had in the linked topic in the feature description.

I personally believe the preset system , which goes a step further, would be more useful.

Hence why i added my vote to that one instead :blush:
