What do you think about adding the ability to repeat patterns in song mode?

The absence of this feature seems very strange. Why can’t we have the option to repeat a pattern instead of duplicating it?

Are there limitations in the Tracker? Specific characteristics? An oversight by the developers? I really miss this feature.

You can easily repeat patterns in song mode by Pressing “Play Pattern” instead of “Play Song” (as seen in your screenshot).

Or are you talking about the ability to like pick Pattern 5, have a “duplicate” functionality that would then duplicate Pattern 5 to Pattern 6 and push any current patterns one slot down? That’s done by using “Add Slot”.

Looping multiple patterns in song-mode

Being able to loop multiple (consecutive) patterns instead of one, would be great in some circumstances. What is the problem? Since patterns are only 0x80 in maximum length, no more sequences can be looped in song mode. since only one pattern can be looped in song mode, you have to put the content you want to loop from time to time (e.g. a part to jam over) into a pattern. What do you want to achieve? To have a couple of patterns and be able to arrange them freely in song mode and loop parts …
