Can you point me to that bug so i can have a look at it myself, as i have not experienced this? Then i‘ll gladly see what i can do, to get this resolved.
I guess this is unrelated to just how Trackers in general handle multiple notes right? That they spread them across armed tracks?
I‘m guessing you have tried the common approaches to see what could cause this? Like:
- Use a different power source or cable to rule out any weird power fluctuations or faulty power bricks. You could try powering it via a powerbank, a computer or even a phone charger.
- Try a different sd card, in case there is an issue there
While these sound like odd suggestions. Power fluctuations can cause weird software behaviour.
I‘m not saying it’s not possible there aren‘t any software related crashes. These can happen but tend to be hard to nail down without proper reproduction steps. And the more time that has to be consumed trying to reproduce an issue, the less time there is to fix those issues in a timely manner.
If you can, please point me to that post and i‘ll gladly reprimand them.
I totally get that and there is nothing wrong with that. But there‘s a fine line between being constructive and critical and just ranting - which is all i‘m trying to say.
It‘s totally ok to say that you are not satisfied with how the device works because i‘m experiencing issue X/Y and Z. Or because you are experiencing bugs because this happens when i do that. But often people just rant without providing what exactly the issue is and that doesn‘t help anybody and won‘t get issues resolved for anyone.
And yes, even Polyend admitted that they handled things not ideally in the past, but i think i would say they are striving to do better and have done so since then. Synth has seen an initial badge of updates. Play received theirs and i‘m certain we will see updates for the Tracker line next - as was pointed out by @Patrick at the beginning of this topic - before the two of us started rambling ![]()
