I just received my tracker mini, oh the excitement!
Thankfully I have a mac and windows, but I’m finding some interesting behaviors/outcomes with the mini connecting to windows:
- the usb cable from the box straight won’t work with windows most of the time, or if it does it regularly disconnects and reconnects. I tried both front and back USB ports, ports that work with other devices.
- a random other cable, in this case an xbox one controller usb A → C cable works great and everything works in any port.
- a random short usb A → C cable from a fiio bluetooth dac works fine too in any port.
- a usb-c - usb c cable plugged into a usb-c port doesn’t work
By contrast, plugging in the polyend A - C cable to mabook with an A->C converter works just fine.
Before I start digging into descriptors and stuff, anyone know what USB grades the mini supports offhand, and what is generally expected to work? I’d love for it to work seamlessly in more cases, but I’ll also settle for being in a better position to predict when I should be expecting things to work in the future when I attach to random peer devices.
As a general potentially useful heads up, I found Loopback really useful on macOS for some basic routing for testing, and voicemeeter on Windows is essentially an equivalent tool.
