Tracker - Change the Granular Position LFO Shape (Triangle/Random etc) in sequencer as FX value

Hi there! I love using the granular synth at the longest granule setting in pingpong mode and using the LFO to change the play position.
It would be great if in the sequencer there was a way to get it to change the LFO shape from say triangle to random when you wanted.
As far as I can tell this isn’t possible to do. In this video the granular position LFO shape is triangle, but it would be really cool to tell the sequence to switch the shape between random and triangle:

you could make an identical instrument and change those settings… as a workaround.

Hi there @Timbient. Reading your post I’m guessing something like a New Fx that allowed control of the chosen LFO waveform? Have you considered writing up a draft wish? If you are not familiar with the process, you can read up on it here.

Beyond that, I have had a couple of songs where I’ve been wanting to do the same. I end up using 2 tracks each with the same instrument but different LFO shape, and then bounce them down to 1 track. However, if you’re using this for granular purposes the transition would most likely be too abrupt between the 2 tracks.

Thanks @pointandclicksystems! This is a good workaround. I feel silly for not thinking of it myself!
Thanks @dan.lgrnd I might do a draft wish. It would be nice to have.

trackers do things in esoteric ways! just think of tracks as mono streams that have access to many instruments. this gives you an expressive weapon against static sounding lines, and can even handle more than one theme if you weave em together the right way! its useful to the call/response theme if thats part of your music. i wish i had picked this up in the 90s. but i hate hex.
