Hi @binary , we are sorry you’re seeing this issue. It’s something we haven’t noticed before and we cannot reproduce it either. Please log a full Bug report and help us fix this. Thanks for your support and for bringing this up.
Hello once again @binary , could you please tell us which games you’re trying to play? Remember that we only support the 6 games that come with the Tracker: Alter Ego, Chase, Lan, LawnMover, Utaco and Zooming Secretary. If you experience issues with one of those, please log a Bug report about the circumstances when they happen and we’ll try to help. Otherwise, I’m afraid, we cannot guarantee every game out there will work correctly. Thanks for your support so far and understanding.
@miropoly ohh you’re right, I actually tried running other homebrew - the ones that are included do still work fine, so nevermind! As for the preview glitch, I just tried again and I noticed this only happens when I accidentally try to play 0s length preview. Just checked and this didn’t freeze the Tracker on v1.6.0 so I’m gonna report it anyway, though it’s much more minor than I initally thought when I haven’t noticed this only happens at 0s length.
Solid update. Really happy with midi timings !
I never used the MOD import function but I can see the appeal in that.
If it was half working it’s just better to leave it off and follow the external software conversion route.
A question about the Games. Would drop that function free some more resources to use for other features or it is unrelated ?
long wait but worth it
You’re right
I think this could be beneficial in the long run:
- better conversion
- more time for developers to devote to other features (rather than maintaining a feature that doesn’t work well)
Once again, I agree! I support this question (for the same reason as dropping support for .mod files).
I use the games myself from time to time, but if it would allow, for example, to have more memory for the sample pool (and get closer to the memory of the Tracker Mini)
I’ll take it!
Mitch, thats fair enough to remove the IT and MOD file support if it never worked well and given the constraints of the device, that doesn’t really need to be on-device anyways, but in that case, is there any reason why you don’t document the trackers file format so that users or other developers could then make conversion tools for whichever other formats they need to import/export from?
Does the snap to zero function also work on the sample editor or only for the sample playback ?
Hi @bresk13 , it only works with Sample Playback engine as described in Config > Project Settings menu. Let us know if you have any further questions.
fair question. Unfortunately, I don’t know the answer but will get back to you on it.
@Mitch and @active.dust2355 , i’ve written up a wish/proposal if that helps:
i think it covers what the community and willing devs would need to actually create tools for and around the tracker ecosystem. Maybe that will be helpful in your decision making/findings.
Thanks @Mitch for the quick reply and huge thank you to @Sandroid for writing up that draft wish, you did a fantastic job describing better than I could.
i have the same problem i try with an older file recording record in 1.6 it does the same as you when i used 1.7 therealyez
Any news about the hotfixes? Is there anything else we can do to help debug or something?
Hi @binary , we are in final stages of beta testing and hotfix is on the way if all goes well. We ask for your patience just a little bit longer. Thanks for your interest!
MIDI Clock Sync is much more stable in 1.7, but the Clock Sync Correction resolution isn’t sufficient for me.
To sync tightly to my other gear a value between -2 and -1 would be perfect in my case.
Do you see a chance to change the correction values to a higher resolution range like it was in 1.6?
Thank you!
Hi @ms1 , thanks for your comment. Yes, we are planning this and will try to improve the resolution in future updates. Cheers
