Delay makes unpleasant clicking/stuttering noise when Polyend Synth is receiving external clock through midi in or usb. Does not happen when delay is not tempo synced.
Steps to Reproduce
Tempo sync delay while unit is receiving external clock from MIDI in or USB.
First and foremost: I believe this is a known issue. At least it has been discussed earlier. But I can’t find an existing bug report for it, so it’s good to have it now.
Will you please update your report with the missing sections you did not fill you? Especially version/build is important for the developers.
Oh, and by the way, there’s sort of a workaround: If you first set the delay time based on clock and then switch off clock sync, then the delay time in ms is the equivalent of what the clock sync was, but without the glitches.
Hi @michael.cerame Thank you for reporting this bug. We are sorry you’re experiencing issues while using our product. We will do our best to resolve it and notify you when it’s ready.
so i assume, delay is always tempo synced, as soon as an external midi clock is present, no matter the midi settings, nor the delay sync setting?!
at least that’s what i experience on my unit
Hi, I don’t know if this is the best place to write but I’ve been syncing Synth Vis USB to my windows 10 desktop in Ableton and reaper and I’m experiencing glitches and cracked sounds with the deley. After a while trying to find the cause (I’ve been changing sample rate, buffers, daws with an Audient ID44 mk2) I’ve discovered that the problem is the delay module on Synth when sync.
I’m on 1.0.1, I thought that It was resolved but in my case the problem still exists.
Hi @here, our latest release fixes this issue: Synth Firmware 1.1.0
Please let us know if you’re happy with the solution and thanks for your support for making our products better.
