Sticky and squeaky keys question

Hi, I recently purchased a ‘refurbished’ Tracker+ from Polyend. I haven’t had much time to use it yet, maybe 30 minutes or so, but I have discovered a couple of issues.

A couple of the keys are sticky and 1 key is squeaky. I own an original Tracker too and despite me using that for hundreds if not thousands of hours, the keys on that are all still fine. Indeed it’s been problem free in the years I’ve owned it.

So I guess my question is, can this be easily fixed with with maybe Deoxit fader lube or Servisol, or have I bought a dud? I wouldn’t want to find more keys squeaking or sticking in the future either.

Hi there @jigs, hope you’re doing well

The squeaky keys should silence themselves after a bit of use. The topic comes up now and then. Hope the following thread brings you some assurance.

Hi Dan, thanks for the info.

What about the sticky keys? Do those free up over time?

Yes they should un-stick themselves after a decent amount of use.

Thanks for your reply Dan.

Hopefully I don’t have to wait until after the return period expires to see this improve, but will see what happens.
