Start/Stop to reset Reverb and Delay tails missing in 1.9

Bug Description

Back in Firmware 1.6.0 if you worked on a song with large reverb tails you could simply stop them by quickly hitting play twice and it would reset all reverb/delay tails.

Now if you have a project with large reverb tails there’s seemingly no easy way to reset them:

  • Muting the Delay and Reverb meters in the Mixer don’t stop the sound
  • Muting the Dry Mix stops the sound.

The only work around is by opening the Sample Recorder menu but this feels unintentional.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create large reverb or delay tail with a simple sound
  2. Pressing Play/Stop doesn’t reset the tails now
  3. Going to the Sample Recorder will stop reverb tails

Occurrence / Frequency

Always

Found in Firmware

  • Worked back in: Firmware 1.6.0, no build numbers available back then
  • Issue first occured in: Firmware 1.7.2, Build 663
  • Issue persists in: Firmware 1.9.1 , Build 1138

Hey @liminaleris could you tell which firmware this was last working on?

I’ve went back to 1.7.2 and i can’t get the delay/reverb to stop, unless - as you say - you go to the Sample Recorder.

Nevermind. Went on a little voyage back in time, found it. It was still a thing back in 1.6.0 and then disappeared in 1.7.2.

@liminaleris Thank you for reporting this bug. We are sorry you’re experiencing issues while using the Tracker. We will do our best to resolve it and notify you when it’s ready.
