Somewhat unusual wiring of synths and mixer buses in the Polyend Tracker+

Hi,

The way things are wired is a bit unusual in the Tracker when it comes to the internal synths.

For example I could have Synth 1 notes in Track 1. But the volume of the Track 1 on the mixer page does not affect Synth 1, instead there is a separate Synth 1 mixer track.

However I can mute track 1 and that will in fact mute Synth 1. But then as I said unmuting track 1 and changing the volume does not affect Synth 1.

Meanwhile the synths mixer tracks do not have a mute option, but the volume of the synth mixer tracks can be changed.

I guess there was no way of making this simpler since we can essentially mix synth and sample notes in the same pattern, and maybe we don’t want the volume levels for the samples to also affect the volume level of the synths.

I just wanted to bring this up. I wonder if there’s a way to improve this in a future edition of the Tracker to make it a bit simpler.

Cheers!

Hey @andrej.mitrovich you are absolutely right. It is a bit unusual but very much explainable based on the freedom where you can places notes/instruments/synths - as you also noticed.

Regarding Synth Muting:

In my opinion the only way to simplify things would be to make sure you only allow one type of “instrument” on a track (sample, synth. midi). Which i personally would hate to see
