What is the problem?
No panning on sample recorder, can’t isolate sounds that may be in only the right or left channel.
What do you want to achieve?
The ability to choose to only record left channel mono, right channel mono or both channels in a single mono sample (this is the only option currently), directly from the recording screen. When you sample some sounds can only be heard on one channel and if you can pan to that one channel you will be able to isolate the sound you are trying to sample.
There is two empty buttons that could be used for left and right channel toggles in the sampler screen. Since there is an option in the config general settings already for left channel mono or right channel mono, the ability to do so on the tracker is already setup just need the option on the sampler screen.
The two buttons between source and metronome would be great for toggling on and off left and right channels!
This will make the sampling process a lot more enjoyable, faster and maybe remove some extra gear in your sampling chain.
Are there any workarounds?
You can go to the config and set the input to a single channel. It’s an extra step that slows down the process a lot.
