Hey @merlin, i think this wish already exists:

Sample Recording - Ability to choose Left or Right channel

What is the problem? No panning on sample recorder, can’t isolate sounds that may be in only the right or left channel. What do you want to achieve? The ability to choose to only record left channel mono, right channel mono or both channels in a single mono sample (this is the only option currently), directly from the recording screen.
