Sample Pool folders disappear after restart and project load

Downloaded the original sd content.
Nothing again, what is happening?

Has anyone experienced this? what can I do?
Up until now I tried to restore my system with three SD cards. Each card gets broken!

Try loading a demo project, create a new project, load a pack, save project. shut down and see if that works?

I think I found the trick - load a sample project, then open a new project, save it immediately, import a sample pack, save. You should be good to go. I think the magic is loading the known good project, then do your thing. Let me know if this helps!

I’m still having this same issue, going on months now and still no fix. It is getting to the point where I don’t even want to use the Play anymore because of how frustrating it makes me. I’m really losing faith in Polyend as a company.

Yep, that happened to me as well. I didn’t touch my play since this bug appeared.

Some time this year or if not next year unless it’s a leap year then it will take a year……

Reformatting the SD card worked for me.

I also had bought similar Lexar 128GB cards off of Amazon.

At first, the card didn’t work, so I ran diskutil list on them to see what format they were in. Note that I had two cards inserted: disk4 is the Lexar and disk6 is the factory card that came with the Play.

/dev/disk4 (external, physical):
   #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
   0: FDisk_partition_scheme *126.4 GB disk4
   1: Windows_NTFS 126.4 GB disk4s1

/dev/disk6 (external, physical):
   #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
   0: FDisk_partition_scheme *15.6 GB disk6
   1: Windows_FAT_32 NO NAME 15.6 GB disk6s1

I ran command to reformat disk4 from NFTS to FAT32.

sudo diskutil eraseDisk FAT32 SDCARD MBRFormat /dev/disk4

After the reformat, you can see the new format.

/dev/disk4 (external, physical):
   #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
   0: FDisk_partition_scheme *126.4 GB disk4
   1: DOS_FAT_32 SDCARD 126.4 GB disk4s1

/dev/disk6 (external, physical):
   #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
   0: FDisk_partition_scheme *15.6 GB disk6
   1: Windows_FAT_32 NO NAME 15.6 GB disk6s1

So far, the reformatted disk4 is working… knock on wood.

I’m running this on a two year old M1 mac.

yes, as stated, i had this problem with my Play+ right out of the box, immediately after updating to the latest firmware, with the factory card that i have to assume is formatted correctly.

i even got a new SD card, formatted it to FAT32, redownloaded all the Play+ SD contents, and it did the same thing. if i save a new project, turn the Play+ off and back on, all sample folders disappear for that project.

Just want to flag that I’m now experiencing this bug consistently.

I wasn’t affected when I was using an Anker power bank to power my Play+, but sample folders disappear after reset every time when using an Apple USB C cable from my Mac Mini.

I changed the way I power the Play+ to start using audio over USB, as I don’t have a hardware mixer any more.
