There is a popping and crackling sound when recording with the internal microphone. The levels are in the green and not clipping. Latest firmware has been updated.

Disable screen backlight while recording samples to remove device noise

What is the problem? When normalizing a sample after recording with the built in mic, the device noise is quite obvious This noise occurs on my device at all screen brightness settings. What should this feature achieve? When in sample recording mode, provide the option to disable the device’s internal noise sources (screen backlight) while actively recording.
