New firmware for Play+ when?

and yet the chords on the Synth sounds like is working

Huh. So I once asserted in YouTube comments what you asserted, and got pushback from someone else that chords didn’t work with synths, and I went and tried and I swear they didn’t work; turning the chord knob did nothing. But I just tried it now and as you say, it seems to work. Glad to be proved wrong.

Edit: just had a thought - perhaps when I tested this before the patch I was trying was set to single voice. Never thought to check that.

Every time I see new messages have been posted in the thread called ‘New firmware for Play+’ my heart starts to beat faster doubling the tempo.

For those trying to manage their heart attacks, I think it’s only worth getting hyped if the topic is posted under Announcements.

if (when :crossed_fingers:) we get perc on play+ it’s gonna be sooo damn good. those perc macros with the play interface is gonna be chefskiss.jpg :fire:

Using Perc with generative beats… that can be really cool

I hope for better MIDI sync and SPP for better studio integration :grinning:

On the tube the video about Superbooth 2024 is clearly showing PERC on the Play Plus

oh yea, nice. I forgot that :fire:

Does anyone has news about that? any estimation without compromise? 1 month? 3 months? 1 year? play++? Thank you!

They said “summer” so probably September 20 :joy:

Not sure what exactly you mean by estimate without compromise. But it looks like it’s closer to the end of summer at this point. Hard software update deadlines usually don’t turn out to be a good experience for anyone.

Hi Mitch, means that if you say end of the summer but finally it’s around mid October it could great. Just that, I’m not expect you say August 20th and have something on this exact day, because as you said, great enhancements need time.

The only comment is that, from my pov, play+ seems to be less stable than play so, at least low performance updates should come more frequently. And also the new PERC stack.

Thank you for the efforts!

I was of the idea that Beta Testers were able to Test the FW before the official lunch

What I don’t quite understand is how Polyend released Play+ a year after releasing Play, with so many small bugs or errors. Wouldn’t it have been better to wait until the end of summer 2024 (where we are supposed to finally have that robust Firmware) to launch the device?

Polyend team, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my Play+ and I appreciate all the effort you are putting in, and above all, the fact that you show your face here is something that I really appreciate in a brand. But having to wait so many months since the launch of the Play+ to have a robust firmware is a bit disappointing.

Take my words in a constructive way.

too real man

I’m super interested in this too, but I’m also a software engineer and my least favorite question is “when well this be done”.
however, I’m super curious what features will be in it. What I really want to know if the synth parameters can be controlled by external midi CC. the internal synths sound great, but I like manipulating the sound in real time independently from the sequence. if I could just plug in some external faders (with TRS midi) and go to town, suddenly the play becomes the do-anything box. the system below is so fun the play using an iPhone as a synth and Play as a MIDI sequencer, but it’s tedious and clunky, not to mention i need a mixer if i want samples as well. Play+ with external faders = best system ever that you can just toss in a backpack and jam anywhere.
