What is the problem?
Latching a note on the Synth is potentially very useful, but always requires two hands to release and/or start a new one which makes it hard to include while playing multiple engines.
What should this feature achieve?

I want to stop a latched note by just pressing it again, not with shift+press. The downside is the potential to accidentally stop it, but I think that’s an allowable trade off.

On a single voiced synth, if a note is latched then I want pressing a different note to move the latch to that one instead. For example, if I’ve got a Reese bass being held or other kind of drone/pad, I want to be able to have notes held but movable with one tap, but for me to be able to quickly change them per bar.
I’m not sure how often people use latches for just one note on a multi-voice engine, e.g. just latching a root note while playing others. I suspect that might be an edge case, where wanting to latch whole chords and shift them is more common.
Are there any workarounds?
It means I just don’t really use the latch function. Having to release and reply them means temporarily ignoring the other two engines.
