Is there no news or is the project discontinued?

greeting Andreas

I was wondering what the impact of the new project scale feature might be on this?
I installed the new ‘Tracker Mini Note Input Mode (Open Beta)’ and I’m enjoying using the top row of 8 buttons on the mini as a mini keyboard. I tend to use something like the ‘Yo’ scale in the project and choose a selection of notes the 8 keys will play in the ‘Yo’ scale. I’ve not tried out a midi keyboard on the Mini since this update, but how will this mini keyboard work if you play keys that are not in the scale you set for the project?

Patience is a virtue!!!

Unfortunately not anymore at my age

This project is still on track.
It has been a challenge to get the keys looking and performing well and stay on a budget.
We have gone from 3d printing, to casting, to cnc cutting, and it will most likely be a combination of those.
I should have an image to share soon.

So far, just messing around with it, the midi input seems completely independent.
But, am I missing something? How do you set up a specific scale? I have only been able to move the 8 consecutive notes around. Is there a way to set individual non-consecutive notes, or switch to a specific non-chromatic scale?

This is accessed in the config menu - there is an option to set a global scale. Once you have set it, the notes in note entry mode are constrained to the scale.

Aha. Found it.

Still the same. MIDI seems to be independent of the new feature, regardless of scale settings.

Hey, @SeanMichaelJohnston congratulations for your incredibly job, looks impresive. Did you think about making something similar with the Play+ ? I mean something like speakers, battery, bluetooth for line-out and also for MIDI…an APP to manage the samples, projects and firmware will be Killer!!! <3

keep us posted looks like is going boss if we can get hands on it. keep up the good work my friend. TM lover

This is an incredible idea. Closely following!
