So after downloading studio one, the .pattern files on my play now show up as “studio one pattern files”. So I did some digging and found out that studio one has the ability to create and export .pattern files, but after some fiddling around with the function, all I get is a message on the play saying there was an “error reading template file”. Are these the same .pattern file formats or do the similarities stop with the extension name? If not, would it be possible to use this feature to streamline the process? I have to use my DAW for practically everything except making sounds with the play, so it’d be nice to be able to do all my file creation stuff first and minimize the SD card shuffle to get custom beat and melody fills in place. Thanks for any info you can provide🤘
Unfortunately you won’t be able to open these in studio one, it just so happens that studio one’s pattern device uses the same file extension that polyend uses for its beatfill feature and these files cannot be read interchangeably, would be cool if they did, same with converting midi to beatfills
