Import .it/.mod file

Hello

Can you fix the problem of import of this file.
https://schismtracker.org/ there is a source code that work perffectly

I have worked on .it file since 20 years, none of my project can be opened on tracker+
but https://schismtracker.org/ can easly, so can you get some informations of this source code ?

Regards

Hello,

Maybe you can elaborate on the error, which you are getting and also attach a .mod file to support this topic?

yes i will upload different files, before tomorrow.
Already, none of sample was be loaded. Notes seem ok.

i talk of .it file, because .mod has more restriction.
But i have try a .mod file, sometime sample was loaded but its not functionnal too. (sound not audible)

Maybe you can attach any of these .mod or .it files for testing, so the development team can analyse them to find the root-cause for the missing import?

This is some file with problem
Only one is ok.
I think was be the samples format, but its not this
Dont juge files, its some differents test from different people

Pinochio dont respect the bpm on tracker+
typical limit is ok
other is bad, no sample or other

I just tested them with Renoise and the import there seems ok.

I guess PunkMF.it could be complicated as you don’t have 16 “audio tracks” on Polyend Trakcer Plus?

In the manual is .MOD and .IT claimed as “Beta feature”, I don’t 100 % understand that term.

Maybe you can tag your main topic as a bug to progress the development of the .MOD/.IT adaptation?

Its not possible to select all track audio in next future ? it will be nice to choose the type of track

Ok for file with more of 16 tracks, it will be good to load correctly 16 tracks

Hey @djtophe, .mod and .it support have always been very experimental and won’t cover all possibilities. That’s obviously also part of the nature, since the Tracker may not cover all effects and or behaviours of the software trackers (and vice versa).

Quoting Polyend here:

After this feature was removed in 1.7, it was reintroduced in 1.8.
But it’s unclear if this feature will ever see any improvements or updates.

With that said, your best bet is to keep your files simple and limited to 8 tracks.
Feel free to take your chances and create a wish in Draft wishes for specific improvements.

But for now we will have to close this report, as it is working as “intended”.

Hope that’s ok
