I was curious if anyone had tried sending midi triggers via usb to their computer and using the data to trigger events in touchdesigner or similar softwares

i haven’t tried TouchDesigner but as long as it can handle MIDI, it should work.
I have successfully used the Tracker and the Play to send MIDI clock/transport, notes and CC to a custom web app i’ve built, so i’d be surprised if it didn’t.
UPDATE: A quick glance at their website reveals that Touchdesigner indeed does support MIDI.

Awesome I’ll have to give it a go, I figured it wouldn’t be an issue just curious if anyone had tried it. Dang now I wish even more that MIDI performance mode existed those beat repeats would create some awesome effects

This just blew my mind. I’m certain it would work fine. I do streaming so it’s perfect, just route a channel to the PC. Now I need to get that Resolume license!
