Polyend Tracker currently have some good options for Exporting Stems, which you can re-import to your favorite DAW of choice.
Manual reference: 224 - 234
As we already have the option to export our work as .IT and then use with our favorite original tracker, then I thought it would be cool to have the option to export to DAW-extensions as pre-packed .WAV, so you could just open the content from your DAW for post-processing.
What should this feature achieve?
Ability to generate files that are timely aligned with all the tracks in one file and can be easy imported to DAW incl the BPM set.
Ableton Live = .ALS [These are normally also compatible with Bitwig Studio]
Logic = .logicx
Renoise = .xrns
Pro Tools = PTX
FL Studio = .flp
…etc…
Are there any workarounds?
Import all audio stems from exported songs one by one to fav DAW.
Cool! I don’t know if the expression “DAW extensions” is commonly used. But it seems a bit technical to me, if it’s only a reference to the file name extensions. You might want to consider updating the title of the wish to be something like “Export as DAW projects” instead. Just a suggestion Please also include the note about BPM in the actual text of the wish.
No problem and corrected, For the note, I think many of these could maybe also be resolved outside of the box with some simple scripts, where you simple drag’n’drop the content to a script [Like those we have seen made on Github] and then it could re-arrange the content with a output.
First of all, only gravedraq knows what their wish actually is.
But personally, I think supporting the dawproject format at least would be a great start. Both for showing spiritual support for the attempt at creating a cross soft(/hard)ware format. But also because having to only implement and maintain export to a single DAW format is probably more likely to be picked up for development. And if you’d have to pick only one, the one that (at least theoretically) could end up working everywhere would be right way to go. Instead of favouring users of a particular DAW.
