What is the problem?
I have many hardware drum machines and I can never remember the midi-note to trigger each pad/sound, so I have to dive into the manuals to check the midi-implementation and sometimes I like to jump between them to test out an idea or sound.
What should this feature achieve?
In this engine you can assign your Gridpads to a dedicated midi-note. [said in other words, the pad is basically being re-routed to a desired midi-note], when you are finish with the midi mapping/assigning, then you can save the name of the preset [example the drummachine name …example Roland TR-06 and fast load these as desired.]
Those pads, which have a noted assign will be led as we know from example beat-slice.
Are there any workarounds?
Yes, you can note on a paper, which pad/sound is triggered by which midi-note and manually input these to the tracks.
