What is the problem?
If the pad configuration on the Tracker+ is set to anything but C-chromatic, layout=12 and root note=C3, drums on the Perc synth engine get moved around in a way that could be unexpected for the user. This could lead to confusion and a slower workflow under these circumstances.
What should this feature achieve?
Create either a dedicated mode that can be quickly toggled specific to the Perc engine for easy drum hit input, or otherwise automatically detect when using the Perc engine and use a preconfigured input setup for it on the pads…something that would allow consistency in this engine.
Are there any workarounds?
Yes - manually switch the pad configuration to the defaults as described in the problem.
