Play would be much improved if users could utilize the limiter as a compressor with send amounts. A wet and dry mix of compression/limiting can breathe life into DAWless mixdowns and live performances via application of parallel compression to samples, tracks, and master outs.
What is the problem?
The limiter on Play lacks track send amounts. Track sends and compressor presets (or even better–control over individual compressor settings) would allow for parallel compression of drum samples and as a master effect. This would greatly improve the sound of the Play.
What do you want to achieve?
Add compressor options (adjustable settings preferred, but presets also acceptable) to the limiter effect.
Add send amounts to the compressor/limiter so that drum samples and mastering can have delicious parallel compression applied.
Are there any workarounds?
Not without external gear.

The compressor on the Erica Synths drum machine (LXR-02) sounds great when used in parallel fashion. Really livens up those synthetic drums.
