Better midi in implementation

Better midi implementation, that allowed us to set the midi channel per instrument.

What is the problem?

The tracker only has omni (or selected ch) midi in. Currently there is no way to sequence multiple instruments at the same time from an external sequencer like the op-z.

What do you want to achieve?

To be able to receive midi on multiple midi channels. Users can set the midichannel per instrument. (Would be 16 instruments max, obviously)

This is common on most multitrack boxes or sequencers, like the Octratrack, Lofi-12, Mpc.

Also since you mention 16 instruments. This is not going to be possible as you’ll only be able to play a maximum of 8 instruments at the same time. This is due to the 8 track / voices limitation of the tracker.

Ok, thanks, my bad. I could not find any relevant topic on my previous search.
Forgot about the 8 track limit. 8 assignable midichannels would be fine for me.
