Automate ADSR Envelope Parameters for Sample-Based Instruments

What is the problem?

Currently, the Polyend Tracker Plus does not allow users to automate the ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) envelope parameters of sample-based instruments. This limitation restricts the creative flexibility and dynamic control over the sound shaping process during compositions and performances.

What should this feature achieve?

This feature should enable real-time modulation of these parameters within the sequencer, allowing for more expressive and evolving soundscapes. This enhancement will greatly expand the creative potential and versatility of the Polyend Tracker, making it an even more powerful tool for music production.

Are there any workarounds?

Currently, there are no straightforward workarounds to achieve real-time ADSR envelope automation on the Polyend Tracker. Users have to manually adjust the envelope settings or rely on other hacks, which can be cumbersome and disrupt the workflow.

Any links to related discussions?

No

Any references to other products?

Other music production hardware and software, such as Elektron Digitakt and Ableton Live, offer the ability to automate ADSR envelope parameters, providing users with more dynamic control over their sound design.

Hey @dub909 thanks for taking the time to write out your wish!

So are you looking to have each of the envelopes stages available as a destination for the LFO, or to have each of those stages available as an FX? Just want to get a better idea of what your ideal wish would be.

All the best

Each of those stages to be available as an FX command to input into the FX columns.

Got it, thanks for clarifying. Is there anything in your wish that you don’t think would be addressed in this current wish?

That current wish is exactly what I would want. Thanks for finding it. I will vote on it.
