Add option in Settings to have Perform mode work for MIDI/synth tracks as well

Perform mode is one of the best features of the Play/Play+ and there is no good reason that we shouldn’t be able to Perform on the MIDI/Synth steps as well. So I propose to add a an option in Settings, like “Perform mode affects” with the possible selections “Audio, MIDI/synth, Both”

What is the problem?

Perform mode only works for the 8 Audio tracks

What do you want to achieve?

I want to be able to have the same real-time fun with MIDI/synth tracks as with Audio tracks. Sure, Perform modes like Delay/Reverb won’t work for MIDI tracks but in those cases it would simply do nothing.

Polyend has already said in Backstage that MIDI perform is coming in a future release. We can spare ourselves the review and voting for a feature that is confirmed.

Thanks - is there a good place in Backstage to check for planned features?

Usually Polyend doesn’t disclose features before they announce new releases, but this was an exception. See Perform Feature Using Midi - #23 by icaria36
