Can someone help an idiot out? I’m trying to get a good hard ebm bass donk with wtfm. I’m getting somewhere in the ballpark but it’s never quite right. Can anyone give me a quick recipe to build off of?
I was messing around with the mod area, and have found some pretty expressive stuff by assigning the volume envelope to the FM amount. It’ll provide some bite to the note. That and shortening the volume decay will get it to be pretty heavy-handed. Good question though if that isn’t working. I hope to hear some other suggestions!

@neurononeuro is right, the area that will get you the closest is using some envelopes in the mod matrix to affect paramters of the synth. In the example above it’s actually the Amp Envelpe that affects the Operator Feedbacks. Playing with the Character 1 and Character 2 parameters also yields interesting results.
