I have an electronic piano (with a jack out), and I want to record multiple notes from it (let’s say from C1 to C7).
Is there an easy way directly from the Tracker ?
If not, what is your workflow with a computer ?
For now I manage to record and use slices or beat slice, but I really want to have a simple and complete instrument, based on each note that I record from the piano.
quick question. So in essence would you be sampling every note, like C, C#, D, D# etc. or were you hoping to stretch C over a few notes, and then sample E over a few notes etc?
I guess it depends on your definition of easy From a technical perspective if I’m not mistaken I know renoise has a “render notes” where you can pick a note range (C1 to C7 like you said) and then it will create samples for each notes at least for VSTs but I guess it could also do it for a connected instrument. If that’s of interest let me know I can check what other options there are (velocity, duration, …) I don’t remember off the top of my head I’d need to start it up.
Not sure if there’s something that easy directly on the tracker.
As far as I know tho the “instruments” on the tracker use 1 sample and then pitch it up and down rather than use a specific sample based on which note is played. So if you say have C1 to C7 samples, don’t you then need to import each sample as a new instrument and then rather than play different notes play each sample as the root note such that you get the original pitch, sounds tedious Or is it actually possible to do multi sample instruments and I missed it?
