This is so basic but i’ve never had a pedal with single stereo in before. What is the best way to send into it a Y cable from my other drum machines or Trs?
Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the community!
Here’s a list with cables you can pick depending on your gear and setup:
With a drum machine MESS would be usually connected as an insert. Drum-MESS-Mixer/DAW
Awesome! As for using it as a Guitar pedal, would I just do the reverse with the Y cable? Stereo outs into a single trs into the amp? Or would it be best to go guitar in mono and stereo out into a different stereo pedal that sums to mono?
For a single amp with a mono effects return, use left out/mono. Y cable to trs tend to introduce ground hum or phase issues because you short tip and ring when plugging it into a mono/ts input.
Ah ok so the left out does sum to mono I wasn’t sure! Thanks
Manual p.4 says MONO L/R outs wich basically means they are mono outs😄
I only used it in stereo config till now.
I dont think MESS sums to mono on left channel only but i can test it later.
Cool yeah read the manual and missed that thanks so much!
Quick follow up: L only doesnt sum to mono in my test setup.
So for a mono chain, external summing would be necessary.
Hello Patrick. I have problems connecting my ASM Hydrasynth with the Polyend Mess. I connected the Hydrasynth with an Insert Y Cable from KLOTZ AY1 to the Stereo In from the Polyendmess and from the L/R output i go into my apollo x8 interface line 1/2
But i get alot phase cancellation and low volume. Do i have the wrong cable? Or is it because he main audio outputs (Left and Right) on the Hydrasynth are line-level, balanced TRS jacks. Guitar pedals are typically designed to receive a lower-voltage instrument-level signal.
hope you can help me.
